We only sell authentic New Zealand Pounamu and Greenstone jewellery.
We are a small, home based business in Te Awamutu; with a fairly consistent turnover of pieces, normally we will have around seven - ten pieces on hand with three - four new pieces coming in every week.

Our designs are influenced from the culture of New Zealand to give a gift with meaning. We continue to be inspired by the birthplace of these designs and the importance this stone had and still has in Maori & New Zealand culture.
INTRODUCTION

Taonga started around five years ago as our family moved into a new season and I wanted a business that would give me the flexibility to work around being a stay-at-home dad to four young children.
It all began with one local carver and a free-form Kawakawa pendant shaped like a leaf; over the years other carvers have come and gone but the one thing that has remained the same throughout are our high standards and the quality of the workmanship of our carvers.
