So firstly just so you know what I sell is not my mahi, we started a business five years ago where I work closely with five different carvers/artists who all have their own unique styles and skills over a variety of raw materials, I take care of the selling, website, social media, photography, orders, couriers etc and that frees them to just carve. It has been about trying to bring some quality back to a market that has been flooded with overseas imitation products and make it more affordable for people to be able to bless their whanau with taonga. All the work we do is about quality and uniqueness over quantity; the majority of our designs are kept quite simple with the focus being more on the natural beauty of the Pounamu itself, it also means that we can keep the price as low as possible.
